Whether you’re managing company devices, tracking assets, or administering your helpdesk, this week’s product updates will help you reduce manual work, improve visibility, and make everyday tasks easier.
With this release, you can automatically sync Microsoft Intune devices into Desk365, making asset management more streamlined than ever. We’ve also introduced activity tracking for assets, more flexible asset exports and labels, expanded APIs for developers, and a refreshed Audit Logs experience to help administrators keep track of changes with ease.
Let’s take a closer look at everything that’s new.
Sync your Microsoft Intune devices directly into Desk365
One of the biggest additions in this release is Microsoft Intune Integration.
If your organization already manages laptops and mobile devices using Microsoft Intune, you can now automatically sync those devices into Desk365 Asset Management.
Simply connect your Intune account by creating an Intune Sync Profile, choose the device types you’d like to import, and configure a weekly sync schedule. You can also trigger a manual sync whenever needed (once every 12 hours).
During setup, you can map Intune devices to your existing Desk365 Asset Types and configure field mappings, including custom fields, giving you complete control over how your assets are organized.
Once the sync is complete, your imported devices will appear in the Asset List, and the Sync History tab lets you track every sync and download logs for failed syncs if required.
Microsoft Intune Integration is currently available as a private beta. If you’d like to try it before general availability, reach out to our support team for early access.

More powerful Asset Management
Managing IT assets goes beyond simply keeping an inventory. You need to know what’s changed, identify devices quickly, and export data whenever required. That’s exactly what this release delivers. With new activity logs, customizable asset labels, and enhanced export capabilities, managing your assets is now more efficient, organized, and transparent.
1. Activity logs for assets and software
Managing assets is much easier when you know exactly what changed and when. That’s why we’ve introduced Activity Logs for both Assets and Software.
Open any asset, and you’ll now find a dedicated Activities tab that records actions such as:
- Asset creation
- Updates
- Deletion
You can also sort the activity list by newest or oldest entries. The same experience is available for Software as well.
For administrators who want a centralized view, these activities are also recorded under Settings > Security & Compliance > Audit Logs > Assets, where you can filter logs and quickly find the information you’re looking for.
2. Create and print asset labels
The QR Code and Barcode feature has now been expanded into a much more flexible Generate Label experience.
You can now design labels the way you want before printing them.
Choose from preset label sizes and orientations, or create your own by specifying the height and width in either millimeter or inches.
You can also choose what information should appear on the label, including:
- Asset Name
- Asset Tag
- Serial Number
- Barcode (Asset Tag)
- QR Code (Asset URL)
A live preview lets you see exactly how the label will look before printing. When you’re happy with it, simply print the label directly or download it as a PDF.
You can also select multiple assets and generate labels for all of them in one go.
The QR code on the label opens the Asset Details page in Desk365, while the barcode contains the Asset Tag for quick scanning.
3. Export assets with more flexibility
In addition to the Import Assets option, you’ll now find both Import and Export options grouped under the Actions menu in the Asset List.
You can export:
- All asset types
- Only filtered assets
- Specific asset fields
If you’ve selected a particular Asset Type, you’ll also see its custom fields available for export.
When exporting multiple Asset Types, Desk365 automatically creates a separate worksheet for each Asset Type in the Excel file, making the exported data much easier to work with.
To improve security, exporting is controlled through a new role-based permission called ‘Can Export Assets and Software’.
If this permission isn’t enabled, users won’t be able to export asset or software data.
Every export is also recorded. The Exports tab shows:
- Who exported the file
- Date and time
- Fields included
- Expiry date
- Download option
The same export experience is available for Software as well.

A new Audit Logs experience
We’ve redesigned and expanded the logging experience inside Settings > Security and Compliance. The previous encrypted field logs have now been replaced with a much more comprehensive Audit Logs section. You’ll now find seven dedicated log categories.
- Access Logs – Track Agent Portal sign-ins, sign-outs, and other access activities. You can filter logs by date, agent, and action to quickly find what you’re looking for.
- Account Logs – View activities related to contacts and companies, with filters for performer, action, source, and activity type.
- Asset Logs – Monitor asset-related activities such as creation, updates, and deletion.
- Encrypted Fields – Continue monitoring activities related to encrypted ticket fields, visibility settings, ticket properties, closure rules, and access sources for security and compliance.
- Settings Logs – See configuration changes made across your helpdesk, including updates to agents, groups, roles, ticket forms, business hours, surveys, announcements, languages, schedules, and more.
- Software Logs – Keep track of changes made to software records.
- Ticket Logs – Review ticket activities, including a dedicated view for permanent ticket deletions.
Each log category includes filters to help you quickly narrow down activities by date and other relevant criteria, making it easier to audit changes whenever needed.
Note: Audit Logs are available on the Premium plan and access is controlled through user roles. Access Logs are available for activities from June 28, 2026, while sign-out activities are available from August 9, 2026.

Powerful APIs for developers
We’ve introduced several enhancements across our APIs to give developers more flexibility when building integrations with Desk365.
1. Smarter Ticket Search API
The Ticket Search API now supports two search modes, making it easier to find exactly the tickets you need.
The Default Search works much like the global search in Desk365. Simply provide a search term, and the API searches across multiple ticket fields such as the subject, description, ticket number, replies, attachments, contacts, companies, custom fields, and even archived tickets.
Need more control? The new Advanced Search lets you search specific fields instead of searching everything. For example, you can search only within the ticket subject, ticket number, or a custom field, and combine multiple search conditions to narrow down the results even further.
In addition, developers now have greater control over the API response. You can choose to include information such as ticket descriptions, custom fields, survey details, and more, while also controlling the number of tickets returned and how the results are sorted.
These improvements make it much easier to build reporting dashboards, custom applications, and integrations that need more precise search results.
2. Dropdown filtering in Ticket List APIs
The Ticket List endpoints now support filtering using dropdown field values.
If your ticket forms include dropdown fields, you can now retrieve tickets based on the selected dropdown options through the API. This makes it much easier to build integrations that rely on custom ticket fields and structured filtering.
3. Asset Management APIs
We’ve also introduced API support for Asset Management, enabling external integration with every asset-related module in Desk365.
You can now create, update, and delete records for assets, software, asset types & fields, products, vendors, and more through the API. You can also associate products and vendors, software & users, and assets & tickets through dedicated endpoints.
In addition, the Ticket APIs now support associating assets with tickets, including bulk asset associations, making it easier to automate asset-related workflows and build deeper integrations between Desk365 and your existing systems.
We’re excited to bring these new capabilities to Desk365 and can’t wait for you to try them.
